    Job Summary

    An individual who, under professional supervision, provides personal care services to agency clients. 


    Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Administrator 


    Risk Of Occupational Exposure To Blood Borne Pathogens:  B: limited exposure 


    Qualifications:  

    • Be at least 18 years of age; 

    • Be responsible and mature and have the personal qualities which will enable the attendant to understand the problems of elderly persons and persons with disabilities; 

    • Understand the provisions of NV Statutes governing PCS and chapter 449 of NRS; 

    • Demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively with clients of the agency; 

    • Demonstrate the ability to meet the needs of the clients of the agency; and 

    • Receive annually not less than 8 hours of training related to providing for the needs of the clients of the agency. 

    • Criminal & other checks required 

    • First Aid & CPR training within 6 months of hire 

    • Successfully complete on-hire orientation & training 


    Responsibilities

    1. Obtaining a working knowledge of the provisions of the NV statutes which govern the licensing of agencies before providing personal care services to clients of the agency. A copy of those statutes (NAC 449) will be provided at orientation. 

    2. Providing services/care per the client’s service plan 

    3. Attend required orientation/training upon hire & ongoing per agency policy. 

    4. Provision of personal care services to agency clients in their homes, according to the client service plan, to assist those persons with activities of daily living, including, without limitation: 

    • Elimination of wastes from the body 

    • Dressing and undressing 

    • Bathing 

    • Grooming 

    • The preparation and eating of meals 

    • Laundry 

    • Shopping 

    • Cleaning 

    • Transportation 

    • Any other minor needs related to the maintenance of personal hygiene 

    5. Perform tasks assigned by the Administrator/designee. 

    6. Document/report in writing, on agency forms, to the Administrator/designee on each client assignment. 

    7. Promptly report any significant changes observed or reported in the client’s condition to the Administrator/designee. 

    8. Confer as required with the Administrator/designee regarding client’s progress. 

    9. Follow Universal precautions/proper infection control when providing client service. 

    10. Maintain client confidentiality per HIPAA privacy and Agency policy guidelines. 

    11. Perform ONLY tasks specified for each individual client on the service plan. 

    12. Follow emergency procedures in the event of any medical or non-medical situations. 

    13. Follow client rights at all times. 

    14. Document/Record each activity performed on each case on a daily basis. 

    15. Document/Report any incidents or client changes immediately to the Administrator/designee. 

    16. Submit Daily Activity Sheets and record accurately on a timely basis (weekly).  

    17. Follow instructions, is punctual and is at work as scheduled. 

    18. Follow all established, written agency policy and procedures. 

    19. Attend in-service training annually per agency policy/state statutes. 

    20. Maintain effective communication with client, family, Administrator/designee and other team members.   

    21. Other duties as assigned. 


    ATTENDANT PROHIBITED SERVICES

    Prohibited Attendant Activities: 

    Attendants are prohibited from engaging in, without limitation: 

    • Insertion or irrigation of a catheter 

    • Irrigation of any body cavity, including, without limitation, irrigation of the ear, insertion of an enema or a vaginal douche 

    • Application of a dressing involving prescription medication or aseptic techniques, including, without limitation, the treatment of moderate or severe conditions of the skin 

    • Administration of injections of fluids into veins, muscles or the skin 

    • Administration of medication, including, without limitation, the insertion of rectal suppositories, the application of a prescribed topical lotion for the skin and the administration of drops in the eyes 

    • Performing physical assessments  

    • Monitoring vital signs  

    • Using specialized feeding techniques 

    • Performing a digital rectal examination 

    • Trimming or cutting toenails 

    • Massage 

    • Providing specialized services to increase the range of motion of a client 

    • Providing medical case management, including, without limitation, accompanying a client to the office of a physician to provide medical information to the physician concerning the client or to receive medical information from the physician concerning the client; and 

    • Any task identified in NV statutes and the regulations adopted by the State Board of Nursing as requiring skilled nursing care, including, without limitation, any services that are within the scope and practice of a certified nursing assistant. 


    Attendants are prohibited from engaging in: 

    • Making a long distance telephone call that is personal in nature on a telephone owned by or provided by a client or while on duty providing personal care services to a client. 

    • Loaning, borrowing or accepting gifts of money or personal items from a client. 

    • Accepting or retaining money or gratuities from a client, other than money needed for the purchase of groceries or medication for the client. 

    • Becoming the legal guardian of a client or being named as an attorney-in-fact in a power of attorney executed by a client. 


    Functional Abilities: 

    • Is able to carry bundles upstairs weighing up to 10 pounds. 
    • Must be able to stoop and bend. 
    • Must be able to travel to prospective client’s place of residence. 
    • Must be able to hear and effectively communicate in English. 

    Personal Transportation is a requirement

    • High School Diploma or equivalent experience. 

    • Experience managing multiple projects and adhering to deadlines.

    • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.

    • Bubby, outgoing personality 


    Responsibilities:

    1. Support the marketing leadership team through the organization and administrative support for various projects.

    2. Maintain strong communication between marketing executives and internal and external stakeholders.

    3. Coordinate communications for the marketing department.

    4. Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations on behalf of the business.

    5. Conduct research for key marketing campaigns.

    6. Plan, prepare, and execute event tables at community events, and at local businesses. (*Some Weekends)

    7. Maintain company social media accounts.


    Functional Abilities: 

    • Is able to carry bundles weighing up to 10 pounds. 

    • Must be able to stoop and bend. 

    • Must be able to travel to local businesses in Pahrump. 

    • Must be able to hear and effectively communicate in English.
